Oh no!

Sad to report my first 'proper' gain this week! After having a fab weekend with loads of NSV's I've managed to gain 1.5lbs!

Oh well, back on the wagon good and proper now. Surprisingly I feel OK about it, thought i would break down in tears when this happened but I think because I was just having a ball for the first time forever I'm OK with it and will just move on with a positive frame of mind.

Luckily I didn't have to give my silver seven back!

Good luck week everyone x

River Festival, York

This fortnight is the River Festival in York and Cancer Research UK are using the even to promote their 10km Runs at Harewood House and Castle Howard. I am volunteering when I can. Went along yesterday only to find that we couldn't reach all our promo stuff that was on the barge CRUK are using due to the river Ouse rising overnight following terrible rain on Friday.

Turned out that that wasn't so bad as my fellow volunteer had luckily taken some fliers home with him the day before. So we spent the day trying to enrol people with little success, however we also buddied up with some historical re-enactment types and had a fab time - thanks guys!

Biggest highlight was when they had to wade into the river the deliver some shopping to some folks that were trapped on their barge, the Sealed Knot types used their pikes to reach out, but one even took off his breeches only to reveal not exactly authentic boxers underneath! I have photographic evidence!!!

Went back today but it was a complete washout, literally, I've put some pics up to show where we were standing yesterday!

Lets hope it dries up for next weekend x

NSV City!

Blimey, I've had a cr*p week exercise wise and am feeling a bit rubbish, however dragged myself out to a retirement do last night and made an effort with the clothes. So how fab was it when i put my 'best' trousers on and found they were massive and I had to dig out a belt and then that wouldn't go tight enough so had to make an extra hole :O)

Once at the do saw loads of people I hadn't seen for a while and got loads of lovely comments and even got some from colleagues I see everyday, mainly because I was wearing clothes that fit (almost!) rather than my practical work clothes. However, the best NSV came when a guy who used to work with me and used flirt with me (and vice versa) came up to me and said "I definately would now!" *wink*

aarrggggghhhhh excellent news!

TOTM rant

don't be put off, this is not gonna be gory! lol

we are all agreed that loosing weight is great, i am actually enjoying a diet/lifestyle for the first time in i don't know how long, however for me there is definately a down side.

before i started this journey my TOTM was at worst random, at best non-existent, but blow me, now that i have shifted a few pounds the bloomin thing is back regular as clock work!

rubbish

i don't like it, it's not that i get pains, or even feel overly bloated, it doesn't make me crave 'naughty' foods, the opposite in fact, i actually don't feel like eating, but grrrrrrrrrr i hate it!

anyway rant over!

good luck everyone with WI this week x

Unbelievable!

So, WI day dawned and as always I was having an LKD. But hey ho, I pootled through the day and went, heavy legged to my meeting.

For a change I was being weighed by my meeting leader and was asked the usual 'how's your week been?' question, so I geared up for a limited loss or even a STS as I have made some changes this week - larger lunches so I'm not sat grazing all night and changed my exercise routine from swimming to using the gym.
Imagine then my absolute SHOCK when I got on the scales and had achieved a mind blowing 7lb loss!! Yes SEVEN pounds!!!!!!
I have to admit to shedding a tear of joy :O)

Even nicer, my leader then presented my with a 'diamond' to commemorate my reaching (and passing) the 60lb mark!

What a fab day. Good luck to everyone still to WI this week x
