... I have had a hopeless week!
Been super busy at work, including a 15hr day, and as a result my tracking has gone to pot! Hopefully the work I've managed to put in at the gym will help to counter any blips in my eating this week, but really I've been rubbish :O(
Can't remember a time on WW when I've been so bad, even managed to put away 4 mini scones and butter the other day, just because I had made them in a demonstration and I was waiting to get back in my classroom - how weak is that!!
Hey ho, back on track big style today, super tracking and a double gym session just for starters! Fingers crossed for Monday :O)

Smaller Shirt
Hoorah!
Have been volunterring today at the Cancer Research UK 10k event at Castle Howard, fabulous event, great weather and over 1000 wonderful people raising loads of dosh.
Anyway, as a volunteer we get a free volunteer t-shirt and I always go for the XL (as you do) but today there were non left so I had to have a large, eeeek I thought, how snug will this be??
Joy of joys...... it was a spot on fit, even with another t-shirt underneath, I was sooooo happy!

Hmmmmm
Sat here wondering what to write, seems like ages since i last posted something but quite frankly not much has happened! Back at work, weight moving very slowly, still waiting to hit my next stone marker although i am now further into the 16's i sooooooo want to get to the 6st mark.
Workouts at the gym are getting better, if you can call doing high levels for a more sweaty workout getting better! Finally learning to love the horrid cardio-glide machine (L3, 15m), love seeing myself being able to do harder stuff for longer, not so keen on ex-pupils seeing me sweating like mad but i get by! lol
Think that's about it, my 40's are plodding along, not much has changed but hey ho i'm not getting any fatter :O)

sweet 16's
3lbs off this week taking me down into the 16's!!!! probably the first time I've weighed so little since i was about 16 i reckon! lol
I'm pleased to say that i still astound myself every time i think about the progress of my journey so far, i still would never have believed that this year would bring about such changes in my life.
i also turned 40 today, little bit traumatic but a good day overall, loads of really nice comments and NSV's, and I'm getting soooo much better at taking a compliment! it's amazing how much difference wearing clothes that actually fit makes! lol

Jog On! update
having previously managed a 2 minute jog i was feeling really good at the gym today, i'd x-trained for 30mins, walked uphill for 30mins and done some resistance work, so as i was 'cooling down' on the treadmill i just felt that i hadn't quite finished and cranked the speed up, then up some more and a little more until i was jogging along at a fast walk.
finding this comfortable i just carried on and in a world record time (for me) i had soon completed a mile! i can't believe it altho if the twinging in my knees is anything to go by i will know all about it tomorrow lol

Not the wrong trousers, but SMALL trousers!
After spending the summer break living in my jogging bottoms I finally had to bite the bullet and go shopping for new work clothes!
My one pair of 'smart' trousers were massive and only stayed by using a comp style belt tie and as a result I looked and felt like a sack of spuds tied in the middle!
Headed straight to Evans, more out of habit than anything else, picked up a few items in the next size down from the ones I was wearing only to find they were also too BIG :O)
Slowly I picked up a size 20 and gingerly stepped into them, praying the seams would hold - joy of joys they fit perfectly!!!!! OMG I can't remember the last time I wore trousers that small!
That was it then, I got all giddy and started trying on tops in smaller sizes and found that they fitted too, however I couldn't find any that I liked in Evans so I headed out of my comfort zone and towards the world of 'normal' shops, eeeek
Success was mine however, and M&S soon managed to take more than a few shekels off me and I almost, almost went crazy in Monsoon! What I find the most staggering is that clothes seem so expensive in what I call 'normal' shops, I've always found Evans OK price wise but now i can see that I really did get a lot of cloth for my money!
